Happy Pink Day
Carrie, Carrie the day’s finally here
You’ve sold your first book and now we get to cheer.
We’re so excited we get to party all day long
I think we should let loose and break out in song.
♫ ♫Hal-le-lu-jah , Hallelujah, Hallelujah♫ ♫ let’s
sing it out loud
♫ ♫Hal-le-lu-jah , Hallelujah, Hallelujah♫ ♫ of Carrie
we’re proud.
We’re so happy our hearts are filled with praise,
We want to shout our thanks to God with our hands
raised.
God provided you the talent to write this marvelous
story
He paved the way before you so why not give Him Glory?
We can’t wait to see all those books being bought on
Amazon,
People buying them day after day, on and on and on.
We can’t wait to hear the news that you’ve written
even more
We can’t wait to go pick one up at our local store.
Carrie we all love you maybe more than we can show
So that’s why we’re having you a Pretty Pink Party so
our love you’ll know.
poem by Teresa Mathews

I'm here. I'm just so excited for Carrie, who has really put her years in learning the trade. Can't wait to read her book. Now, am I supposed to put in a #? Well, I can't decide, so without looking, I choose the # 3.
ReplyDeleteOur first guest tonight! Welcome Christine with the pink T-shirt. Carrie, did you know Christine has been wearing a pink T-shirt all day? How cool is that?
DeleteChristine, thanks for coming by! Everyone needs to know they can come by and comment as often as they like. Would you like a piece of the delicious cake above, Christine, or a cup of hot tea? Or something a little stronger...like root beer! ;)
DeleteOh Christi, Bless you! Thanks so much for coming by and for your kinds words of encouragement. I've been a member of ACFW for I think 7 years or more, and have participated in so many classes and conferences and webinars and seminars that yes I do feel I've been immersed in the writing craft for forever, not even counting the tons of books I have read. Hopefully it will be worth it for my readers!!! Blessings!!! Pink t-shirts rock!
DeleteCarrie, finally the day has come!! I hope you enjoy the party! We're all so happy to know you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!! I know u have to go to bed soon! Hugs!!!
DeleteI'm here!! But you can't see me since I have to sign in anonymously. I am wearing a beautiful floral gown with pink slippers and pearls. Hello to Christine and Marian!! Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it, Joy. I've seen your dress and love it!! Especially the little pink rose on your back is lovely! :)
DeleteOh, Marian, thank you so much! You've done an exquisite job of decorating for the Pink Party. It's so beautiful. *grins* Joy Ross Davis
DeleteJoy, you look stunning! The slippers match perfectly! Thanks for coming by!
DeleteMARIAN, thanks so much for being the hostess on the spot! Hugs!
Glad you like it. :)
DeleteJoy, you look lovely! The huge flower on the front of my dress is not very comfortable when sitting down so I guess I shall have to spend the night dancing with our hero, Matthew Scott. What a chore, but someone has to do it! A piece of that luscious cake, my dear?
DeleteI like to have a night time snack. It makes me sleep better. I'm afraid I have to change my beautiful gown for my jammies soon.
DeleteCARRIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have waited and prayed for this day, and PRAISE BE TO GOD, it is HERE!!! One of my favorite people in the whole wide world has realized her dream of publication, and I am tinkled PINK!!!! That sweet, little novella of yours is burning a hole in my Kindle, taunting me to rush through my books of obligation to revel in the world of the Shirley Plantation. Soon, I promise it, VERY soon ...
And KUDOS to your precious crew -- Diana, Teresa, Marian and Noela -- for the BEST party blog ever -- this is GORGEOUS and the prizes are FABULOUS and the GUEST OF HONOR ... simply one of the finest human beings God ever put on this planet. I am blessed to know you ALL, but especially Carrie, since it's because of her wonderful blog and her even more wonderful personality that I have had the privilege of getting to know each of you.
Knowing and loving Carrie is certainly a prize in and of itself, but I wouldn't turn anybody down if I were to win Murray's book since I already have Mel's and Regina's. ;)
Party hardy and party on, girls!!
Hugs,
Julie
LOL it really WILL be a "Return to Shirley Plantation" since you read and endorsed "The Overseer's Daughter" for me, set a Shirley Plantation also but almost 40 years earlier! Yes, you have prayed and prayed and encouraged me and I treasure your friendship, JULIE!!! You know what it is like to sit there with submissions going out and waiting and you've been such a source of inspiration for me. And to have one of my fave persons rooting for me has made the waiting easier, trust me! Thanks, Julie. Love you!!!
DeleteJULIE, thank you for coming by and for your sweet words! You KNOW you are precious to each one of us here on OWG! Nor just b/c of your books, but just the special person that you are!!
DeleteI'm here too!! All right, Carrie, what a GREAT party! I have NOT stopped thanking God for you and this novella, so happy for you :) LOOOVE the poem and the photos, Teresa and OWG girls! Save me some cake, Marian has had me drooling over the various photos of pretty pink cake she keeps posting, love it! Wow, lots of great prizes too, VERY nice :)
ReplyDeleteKARA, you are just all over the net encouraging everyone wherever you go! We apppreciate you so much! How about a big slice of cake and some ice cold lemonade, perhaps?
DeleteI'm fighting a bug today, but had to show Carrie some love :) Thanks Diana, it's quite mutual my beautiful friend. I might have to take two slices of cake, looks SOOO yummy :) Please enter me for a pink prize, the hardcover journal and the mug look so beautiful!
DeleteI ordered an extra big cake for the party, so you can have two slices, Kara. :)
DeleteBeautiful poem by TERESA, KARA--I agree!!! Thanks T!! Thank you for your prayers, Kara. You are one of our fave encouragers here on OWG and we always love to see you!!! Hope you are feeling better soon! I'd like some cake, too, please, DIANA! Oh, MARIAN, you outdid yourself!!!
DeleteMarian, thanks for ordering the extra big cake :) You're creative and brilliant, my friend, but I already knew that :)
DeleteThanks Carrie, it's an honor to celebrate you and all God is doing in your life :) Blessings on you my friend!
forgot to leave my email, oops!
Deletewman4jcATaolDOTcom
KARA, so sorry you are struggling with a bug! Praying you will be feeling in the pink soon!
DeleteBig hug for you, Kara. Bugs leave when they see me...lol
DeleteThanks for the prayers, Diana :) I don't have time for this at all, but trusting God for restored health....LOL, I like that, feeling in the pink soon :)
DeleteThanks Marian, will take all the hugs I can get :) LOL, that's right girl! This bug knows better now that Marian's in the house, be gone sucker!!
That's why I love these ladies so much, even when one feels lousy with a virus they love on you and make you laugh all the while *big time smile*
KARA, , haha, you act like we do not know how to stalk you on FB, my friend!!! Hang in there and feel better soon!!!
DeleteI am so excited today has finally come!! So proud of you!! Love you lots and lots!! :)
ReplyDeleteT, it scarcely seems real--the whole project happened so fast. I wish I could get to SC this week to celebrate down there in person with you, TERESA!!! Love you more, haha!!!
DeleteCARRIE I sure wish you could come down here...we would have a blast!! :)
DeleteCARRIE, we love and appreciate you so much! You have given many a party for many an author! I hope you enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteI am in the recliner with three ice pack and dark chocolate from Colonial Williamsburg and my hubby and son here and my fave people in the world are coming to the party and throwing me a party--what more could I ask for!!! Thanks so much for making this so special for me--both the party and the Pink Week on the blog!!! SO FUN!!!!
Delete(Chaplain Debbie enters carrying a huge bouquet of pink roses and a nice pink satin pillow to place behind Carrie's back as she sits in her place of honor)
ReplyDeleteCARRIE! CARRIE! CARRIE! So happy for you girl!!!! Love the poem! Teresa really needs to put together a book of poems...such talent! Congrats on your published novella. It is truly wonderful and you really do deserve for it to be out there for people to read.
The prize packages are great. Hmmmmm....I adore the mug and coaster in #3, so I will enter that one, if you please. Hugs and God bless...and here's to many more publications from you!
debsbunch5@jesusanswers.com
such a sweet comment, thank you for bringing Carrie that lovely bouquet!!
DeleteI'll get a vase for that bouquet!
DeleteDEBBIE, I love how you always make such a GRAND entrance! WOW!!! I absolutely love the pink roses and I have put my feet up on the pillow because my tootsies are killing me after walking around Colonial Williamsburg all day. But PTL, I could do it!!! Because I've hardly been able to walk for the past 18 months. No kidding. Thanks so much, Debbie! Thanks for putting those in such a gorgeous vase, too, Marian!!!
DeleteYou are so very welcome Carrie! Please just sit back and relax and enjoy all the visitors you are receiving. I've been praying for your health and well-being for awhile now. Praise God for all that He has done in your life, including this wonderful new release!
DeleteThanks for getting that vase, Marian, I was dripping water everywhere. :)
Thanks so much, DEBBIE, and thanks again for agreeing to be a beta reader and giving my very first review!!! Yes, PTL! Keep those prayers coming and I will do the same! BTW, somehow we had a little miscommunication at OWG and I got my feelings hurt a teensy bit. I had sent a colonial novella to my agent for Helping Hands only weeks before Murray asked me to join the Civil War project and my OWG angels knew that. When I started talking to them about my novella (the Civil War one that was under contract) they didn't realize I had joined the anthology and just thought I was talking about the other novella which I had pulled back, wanting to work it a different way. So by the time they knew this novella would be coming out it was rather late, haha! I just thought they were being very low key about it. Once they realize, well, all the pink party plugs were pulled out, lol!
DeleteWell, everything happens for a reason. I am just so grateful that you were given this opportunity. I just know your other writings will be published one day soon. Hugs!
DeleteGood evenin' ladies, I just dropped in for a spell to wish Carrie CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-DDD
ReplyDeleteWho is this mysterious guest? :)
DeleteIs this MURRAY and too embarrassed to be seen at a PINK party, lol?!!!
DeleteI don't think so. I have no idea who it is.
DeleteWell, I feel like I should be in lace this evening! Pretty in pink! Congratulations to Carrie for a fabulous "beginning!!!"
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot to leave my email addres!
DeleteNancee
quiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
Hey Nancee, email address is only needed if you want to enter for the giveaways. Let us know for what prizes you'd like to enter.
DeleteThanks, NANCEE, I really appreciate it! You look lovely in pink lace!!!
DeleteThe decorating is divine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancee.
DeleteThey did good, didn't they, NANCEE? Marian did the blog decorations!!!
DeleteI love Carrie's novella, so I think I'd like to choose #3 as my first choice IF I am so lucky to win something.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot to leave my email addres!
DeleteNancee
quiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
Okay, we'll enter you for prize #3!
DeleteSounds like a great choice, NANCEE!
DeleteHello to Nancee, Kara, chaplain Debbie, Teresa, and Diana....you ladies look gorgeous! Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDeleteHello Joy!! Why thank you, you're looking fabulous yourself :) So glad to be among friends who love Carrie as much as I do, blessings Joy!
DeleteI love guests who keep coming back! Yay, Joy!!
DeleteJoy, what a pleasant surprise to see you. Shall we sit and enjoy a cup of tea?
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, Nancee! I'd love a cup of tea, though I already have a nice big glass of sweet iced tea on hand. Never far from a glass of sweet tea! You look lovely, by the way. Joy Ross Davis
DeleteThis big flower on the front of my dress is a bit uncomfortable when I sit, Nancee, but do make yourself at home while I dance with Matthew Scott. You may feel free to cut in if you'd like! But only for a minute!
DeleteI could use some hot tea, too. So cool here I had HOT apple cider out in Williamsburg earlier in the day. My friend and I rode in the Carter coach--no kidding. Robert Carter's coach. Mathew Scott and Angelina Rose were making eyes at each other earlier, too. Hopefully he won't trip over his feet trying to watch her, DIANA!!!
DeleteThe guest of honor wishes to have some tea! So, tea she shall have! I shall fetch you some tea, Carrie. I need to wipe this water off of my lacy, pink chiffon dress. HAHAHAHA!!!!That is just too funny! Me in a frilly dress? I think not. Hahaha....I just pictured it again..LOL
DeleteDEBBIE, I love lacy pin chiffon!!! Virtual chiffon is doable by anyone! You and me included! Hugs!
DeleteOkay, for you CARRIE, I will virtually wear lacy pink chiffon. I will even top it off with a big over-sized pink hat with pretty fluffy pink feathers all over it! Now, what I sight I must be...maybe I will top the outfit off with some knee-high pink cowboy boots! Hahaha....this is fun! :D
DeleteDEBBIE, my daughter is getting pink boas for our little party here! Pink cowboy boots sound awesome!!! I DO really have on my pink blingy wrap scarf today. What does your pink hat look like?
DeleteLet's see....it looks like one of those Pirate Captain's hats, really huge with a giant feather (pink of course) sticking out of the side. But, all around the hat there are tiny pink feathers...they cover the entire rim of the hat. Wow, that hat sounds awesome! Maybe MaryLu's Captain's hat should look like that...Oh! a pink boa would totally finish off the look! Tell your daughter thank you for her contribution to the party! Someone MUST snap a picture! LOL
DeleteI believe I just deleted my invitation for you ladies to join me in a cup of tea! Also, I might add, you all look divine this evening! Has the guest of honor arrived yet?
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you! But I will be changing my pretty pink dress for my pink jammies soon.
Delete
Deletei'm here, NANCEE, I just think you all are a little ahead of me! Oh, I wish I had pink jammies for later, MARIAN! I used to have a pair I loved so much I wore them out!
Down under and upside down! I'm coming to the party NANCEE and CARRIE, in my p.j's and will get dressed later! But at least they're pink!! :)
DeleteGreat pink PJs, NOELA!!! Glad u could join us!!!
DeleteI'm here too! I have been wearing a pink workout shirt all day. Although I LOVE purple and wear it quite often; however, I also enjoy wearing pink--it makes me feel festive and feminine. I would love a piece of cake and a cup of tea, before I head to bed. I would love to win any of the books on #2 and I also like all the fun things in #3. Are you sure we have to decide? That pink mug with the lid, looks perfect for a cup of tea, while settling down to read one of those books! I love all the comments about Carrie--she has earned all the attention, hugs, love & kudo's! Keep iit up & I will come back to see if you are still partying when I get up.
ReplyDeleteVicki OWG
vmarney@hotmail.com
You can enter for all the prizes, Vicki. So, I'll enter you for 2 and 3. You're still in Europe, I guess? It's bed time here, too. I'm going to look for my pink pj's. ;)
DeleteVICKI, thanks so much! Since I had my son I have become more enamored of pink. And especially since my two BFFs beat breast cancer two years ago, PTL!!! The angels of OWG did pick out some great giveaways!! Thank you ladies!!!
DeleteI sure hope you two in Europe don't keel over into your tea and cake! Hugs!
Mercy me, where are my manners? My email address is jessarb@aol.com. Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDeletethank you, Joy. I wouldn't know how to contact you if you win something...did you enter the giveaway? I can't remember reading what you'd like to win.
DeleteHaha, we know where to find you JOY!!!
DeleteLove the photo of Carrie surrounded by flowers, what a PERFECT touch to a wonderful party! That rocking chair looks so cozy, too, I finally get to enjoy watching Carrie relax :)
ReplyDeleteMarian and Diana, thanks for hosting, well done on the whole setup here! *waving to Teresa and Noela*
It's a great sight to see Carrie relax, don't you think, Kara? :)
DeleteGlad you like the setup!
Not quite like our CQ parties--no relaxing there, although we have a super duper good time! Since Kathy Maher has come on I have a lot of help for the parties and Pat has helped as has MaryLu and Lisa, too. Everybody tries to chip in. I am in the recliner with my feet up at home but that is not a real good image with me in my pink gown, lol!!! Nor the ice packs, which are blue, haha!
DeleteWell, Vicki, you're in luck because I'm wearing royal purple this evening! And, Joy, that glass of iced sweet tea sounds very refreshing!
ReplyDeleteNancee
quiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
Purple is a great color for you, NANCEE! And thanks again for having me on your blog this week! Love your new blog and I know you will bless many people!
DeleteAll the best, my dear Doctor Carrie. So pleased with your novella - it's an excellent beginning for the series. Raises the bar. Congratulations. As they said in the 20s, baby, YOU'RE IN THE PINK.
ReplyDeleteMURRAY, we will make sure to save one of the pink prizes for you, sir! After all only real men look good in pink! Where have I heard that one before? Well, never mind...
DeleteThank you for coming to the party...I hope you wore your dancing shoes. :)
I think I have also heard that, Diana. ;) Yes, he wore them...pink ones!! :P
DeleteI only make my husband call me Dr., MURRAY, lol! Glad you are happy with the novella and tickled pink that you think it is so good a start for the Civil War anthology that you pulled together. So can I blame you for me eating my entire chocolate bar tonight in celebration? Thanks so much for inviting me into the project and for coming by! Blessings! Hmm, those dancing shoes look black to me, DIANA and MARIAN!
Deleteactually i have bare feet - its 75 here, 80 in some parts of the yard - but dancing in bare feet is good for the sole, lol
DeleteYou are all cracking me up!!! Hello there Murray, nice to meet you. You were so right to head this whole series off with Carrie's story! I love it! Please do be careful dancing in bare feet, some of these ladies are wearing some pretty dangerous looking shoes. LOL
DeleteAha...pink bare feet then. I was sure I saw something pink. ;)
DeleteSuch great banter here, soooo funny! Hey Murray, so glad you're here as well :) That's right, Diana, real men wear pink and look good in it too :)
DeleteVery PUNNY, MURRAY, haha! Oh DEBBIE u r making my face turn pink!!! Thanks for your compliments, I love them. TERESA and DIANA have spent time with me in person and they know how I love to laugh and make fun of myself.
DeleteOH, MARIAN, LOL--yes pink piggies haha!
KARA, MURRAY was the man with a plan.
cheers Chaplain! cheers Kara! cheers all! i will watch out for those stiletto heels
DeleteMay I borrow that lovely mug and coaster. There don't appear to be enough tea cups to go around. I think I'd really enjoy my hot tea in that lovely mug!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot to leave my email addres!
Nancee
quiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
Just be careful with it, Nancee. I need it for the giveaway...so as long as you don't break it you can borrow it.
DeleteLOL NANCEE and MARIAN!!!
DeleteCongratulations Carrie! You deserve every sweet pink moment of celebration! I can't wait to read your novella and hear about your next new release because this is just the beginning!
ReplyDeleteOh, DEBRA, that is so kind!!! I sure hope and pray that you are correct! And I hope you are praying about your own writing and future projects--we are SO happy you joined the CQ blog!
DeleteMurray, so kind of you to join us ladies. Would you like some iced sweet tea or a spot of English tea?
ReplyDeleteour iced tea is sweet and lemony up here - down there it's just cold tea with sugar - my daughter likes it after two trips to the South - myself, well, could y'all mix me a Stonewall Jackson, please? thank you kindly
DeleteI don't know what a Stonewall Jackson is, MURRAY, but we run a dry establishment here, lol! NANCEE, offer him some tea and lemonade mixed together and tell him it is a ROBERT E. LEE, specialty of Shirley Plantation!
Deletewhy, thank 'ee, kindly, Mizz Carrie - though a double Gettysburg on the rocks might suit me better for a party in Virginia - that or a triple Army of Northern Virginia with a slice of lime and rimmed with sugar
DeleteMURRAY, Here is a quadruple Malvern Hill, rimmed with salt and maraschino cherry in the bottom!
Deletemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
DeleteBlessings to you, Carrie, from another Julie. So happy for you!
ReplyDeletePlease put me in for Carrie's novella! Even though I plan on buying a copy!
Peace, Julie
JULIE!!! Great to see you here and u know I love blessings!!! I hope you will enjoy this novella! Blessings!
DeleteI must leave y'all for a bit. Dinner is served!
ReplyDeleteNancee
quiltcat26[at]sbcglobal[dot]net
bon appetit
DeleteEnjoy! We had Chinese tonight NANCEE. Too tired to cook!
DeleteSo nice to see all your ladies, I'm the anonymous wallflower sittin' in the corner in my carnation pink gown sippin' a mint julep :-P
ReplyDeleteha! i think i know who YOU are by what y'all are drinking - yes??
DeleteI'm glad you could leave your guests for a while to drop by, J. :)
DeleteSo that is NOT MURRAY. Is it you MAXIE??? Hmmm, Julie Lessman came earlier as herself. I am feeling stumped. Okay MURRAY and MARIAN, who is this? Gio wouldn't come in a gown haha!
DeleteThanks for invitin' me to the party Miss Marian, it's ever so lovely!!! Miss Josette here from the Old Dominion. I was foolish to think I could fool y'all ;-)
DeleteWell Miss Joette, if you hadn't mentioned the mint julep I probably wouldn't have guessed. Nice to see you!!
DeleteMarian, dear.....I would like to win the pretty mug and coaster! It's a lovely set. Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDeleteYou're entered, Joy. :)
DeleteHow come you are anonymous, JOY? I love that mug and coaster--so pretty!
DeleteVery nice party. Love all the pink. Congrats Carrie
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you stop by, Diana!
DeleteThanks, DIANA! Pink is awesome!
DeleteI LOVE LOVE PINK!!!! It is my favorite color! I am wearing a shirt with pink butterflies. My bridal shower was titled Pretty in Pink. Congratulations on your publication!!!! Please enter me for Carrie's novella.
ReplyDeleteAnd you look beautiful too ANDI!! :) Carrie will love to see another 'pink' fan here! ;) Nice to see you at the party and you're entered for a chance to win Carrie's exciting Novella!!
DeleteWell, ANDI, then you have EXCELLENT taste lol!!! Hmmm, that shirt sounds really cool! Thanks so much!
Deleteforgot email joeym11@frontier.com # 3 or a book. Sorry back and forth grandkids
ReplyDeleteyou're entered for # 2 & 3 :)
Deleteand I'm entered for pink tulips!!!
DeleteMURRAY, may I have this dance? Since you are the only man here. Since you are tiptoing thru the tulips, make sure you don't step on my tiptoes while dancing. I have never written the word tiptoing before. spell check (?)
DeleteGood choice, Diana! LOL Murray :)
DeleteMURRAY, I feel sure DIANA and TERESA and NOELA and MARIAN will send you some pink silk tulips if your name is drawn!!!
Deleteahhhh - the dance was divine - and then we had a lively Virginia reel
DeleteHello Diana Montgomery......would you care for a glass of sweet iced tea with a nice slice of lemon? And maybe a piece of this wonderful cake? We have such lovely china to serve it on!! Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDeleteps..in spite of what Murray says, we do have good iced tea here in the South.
never enough lemon, Mizz J - never - that's why i prefer a mint julep or a stonewall jackson - or a belle ;o)
DeleteThe cake is amazing! Goes great with my dark chocolate! My hubby just brought me a cup of hot tea. MURRAY, how did you like your ROBERT E. LEE???
Deletewhy, the R.E.L. was exquisite - to add bite we sometimes put in a dash of gunpowder - depending on how daring we are we follow up the gunpowder with a match, ending the drink with a bang!
DeleteWe don't rx that procedure here in the Commonwealth, MURRAY! However, Canucks are their own daring brand of men, haha!
Deletey'all bear in mind 50,000 of us came down and served in the war on both sides, many due to family connections, others due to convictions - 29 won the Medal of Honor - 4 became Union generals - we all are never far away from your history, ma'am
DeleteOh gracious, Murray, I have plenty of lemon on hand. I'll rim the crystal with lemon wedges if that will please you, sir. ;)
ReplyDeleteindeed, J, that is a good start - i also like cornbread - and i really like red beans with rice and chicken, yes'm
DeleteOkay, did we establish this is JOETTE? Another of our anthology buddies, welcome JOETTE!!!
Deletethat's her - Book #7 - I do decleah!
DeleteCarrie.....my Google account is set up for the University of Phoenix and their email system..oh, it's such a long, boring tale. Joy Ross Davis
ReplyDelete"A Long Boring Tale" - the new novel by J. R. Davis - a hit in the Czech Republic and Lower Slobovia
DeleteYou are anything but boring, JOY! So have you had a delicious piece of cake? You might entice our hero, Matthew Scott, for a dance if you try real hard!
DeleteI am laughing out loud, MURRAY. Someone please cut him off from the R.E.L.s okay!!!
Deleteok, I'll have a Jeb Stuart or a Wade Hampton III - with ice!
Deleteno one said Joy was boring - she is spicy - it's her Google account's relationship with the U of Phoenix online that she herself admitted could only be explained by a long dull story
DeleteSorry MURRAY, but Jefferson Davis may be kin to me so I offer a Jeff Davis first, lol!
Deleteoooooooooo - that would be downright tart - even sour! you know, the sour apple tree and all that - put me down to win the PINK VIRGINIA HAM instead
DeleteSo happy for you Carrie. I knew you could do this. Looking forward to your future books. I would love to win prize number 1. Blessings, Susan Fryman susanngarrylee@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletethe arrival of New Mexico
DeleteSUSAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad to see you here. I love your heart, Susan, you are so sweet! Hugs!!!

I'm reading it now and it's EXCELLENT!! I'm really enjoying it. I hope it sells like blockbusters!!!
ReplyDeleteSeeing all this pink makes me want to put on my pink blouse and make pink cupcakes for dinner. Hmmm.. I may just do that!! Blessings and hugs to everyone!!
MARYLU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome!!! You gave me SUCH an awesome Christmas and birthday gift when you read my 1815 novel set a Shirley Plantation and endorsed it (and beautifully btw.) By any chance did you come by schooner? Thanks so much! I am twirling around in my pink dress! I am so glad you are liking this new Shirley Plantation story!!! Yes, put on your pink blouse and come back for cake and punch! Blessings and hugs back!
DeleteOh Captain, me Cap'n! Good to see ye here! If ye be makin' some cupcakes, I hope ye be bringin' some back to the ship to share wit' the crew. I would be more than happy to climb down from me crow's nest to grab one or two! Hehehe...
DeleteAye, I'll be bringin' back some cupcakes fer the crew, to be sure! That is, if hubby don't eat them all first. LOL.
DeleteCarrie, I'm dressing all in pink tonight in your honor!! Thanks for inviting me to this lovely party!!
Well, I be tellin' ye this, Cap'n. Yer hubby will be facin' some pretty upset women on yer crew if he be eatin' all of those yummy cupcakes! And don't ye be forgettin' yer Chaplain up in me crow's nest. Jus' gives me a holler and I'll be scurrying down to taste them goodies. (That is too funny...first I am dressed all fancy in pink and now I am scurrying..LOL) Now, where was I? Oh yeah, ye best be warnin' yer hubby, to be sure. Arrgh......
DeleteHAHA ML!!! I fear you might cause a riot with all those pink cupcakes!! Thanks for the "wearin' of the pink" which is not an Irish holiday lol!
DeleteDEBBIE, a cowboy boot-wearing pirate lady is a fearsome sight--surrender the cupcakes ye scurvy sailors!!!
Ye betcha Carrie! There be no match fer this fearsome God-fearin' crew! Mayhaps we should all wear large pink feathered hats and pink cowboy boots! Come aboard the ship anytime Carrie! If ye aren't afraid of heights, I could let ye climb up in me crow's nest and feast yer eyes upon the wonderful view I be havin'...God's beauty is everywhere and I be havin' the best seat on the ship!
DeleteCARRIE, hope you're having a WONDERFUL time at your Pink Party in celebration of your fabulous first release!!! Love the cake, and though I don't normally have a sweet tooth, I don't think I can resist a piece of that! ;) Are you enjoying your rocker? Just watch out for MURRAY, I see him sneaking up behind you...
ReplyDeleteThe cake is SO beautiful, I love it!!! It tastes awesome but feels like virtually no calories!! The rockers is amazing!!! Rockin' on, baby!!! Thanks so much!
DeleteCarrie - remember it is those He gifts with the gift of writing, that give those who have other gifts the ability to read such WONDERFUL WORKS!!! Thank you for listening to God's nudge!!
ReplyDeleteI for one would like to enter all three - I will buy the Novella or another ook but the Journal is amazing. Honest I would be blessed to be chosen for 1 2 or 3 - I'll say 3 and smile. Bless you for writing!!

JENNIFER, that is funny! I know what you mean though. I am so GRATEFUL to all the awesome Christian writers out there such as MARYLU and JULIE who have stopped by! Their work gives me something awesome to read!!! Thanks!
DeleteCongratulations, Carrie! What fun to celebrate with you! Let's have ham for dinner - it's pink! I would love to win your book since I've visited Shirley Plantation. My mom is a Virginia history librarian. Three cheers.
ReplyDeleteCATHY, I would love to hear more about what your mom does, too! Thanks for coming by! We had ham for Easter. I think you would love this little novella since you are familiar with Shirley and its history. Will make sure you get a copy, CATHY! Your book is one that I have been listening to recently--really unique plot! Hugs!!!
DeleteLadies, you have outdone yourselves. This is one lovely pink soiree. I just couldn't be happier for our dear Carrie. The poem had me smiling and rejoicing right along with you. No need to enter me into the contest, but I couldn't resist joining the celebration in honor of one of my favorite people. Way to go, Carrie!
ReplyDeleteYes, they sure did, KATHY!!! This has been so fun! Thanks so much and I am looking forward to attending your own party, Kathy, in about a month!
DeleteWhat a beautiful pink party! I love the flowers, dress, and cake. Congratulations, Carrie, for having your first novel published! I'd like to read it, so please enter me in the drawing for #1, your novel. I'd also like to be entered for #2; it would be such fun to win a copy of The Fairest Beauty to give to my daughter. All the books look very good.

Carrie, so-o-o-o-o-o happy for you! Love Teresa's poem. Thought I'd try to make up one--
ReplyDeleteThis link is truly pink...it makes me want to wink...you've arrived--no longer on the brink...let's give our glasses a clink and drink lemonade that's pink (oops, I used pink twice, I think)...my admiration for you will never shrink...I'm struggling here, my neck's starting to kink...does a keyboard ever run out of ink?...you're ready for me to stop, I think...man, this poem really does stink.
I'm wearing fuzzy slippers of pink, because I have no mink. Oh, dear, someone needs to stop me.
I know, I'm silly, but I'm very happy for you, Carrie. Sincerely.
I'd love to win prize number 2.
Carrie, I just wanted to drop by and celebrate with you. I'm so happy for you and your "new baby." Congratulations!!!! The story sounds great, and I loved all the beautiful pictures, too.
