PINK PARTY Part 2—Celebrating Civil War Novella by Carrie Fancett Pagels

PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS NEW POST FOR THE PINK PARTY
The first post got so many comments that Blogger couldn't process them anymore.
All comments are saved and all the names of commenters who entered the contest yesterday are written down, so don't worry about your entries!

For the second day we want Carrie to relax and let 'her angels' take care of the giveaway.

And again we'll help her in her nicest pink dress and give her a new cup of tea with a big slice of each of these beautiful fresh cakes. We almost ran out of cake yesterday, so we ordered some extra today.

And then we'll settle her again in this beautiful rocker to make sure she is comfortable.

Good day to one and all! I truly enjoyed the party last night...Carrie, I pray that you slept well. I am doing a bit of yawning today...I think I may need some coffee. Do you ladies have coffee or is it just tea? Soooo, how is everyone this lovely day?

I still wish to be entered to win that mug and coaster, I simply LOVE it! God bless.

    1. Good morning, Miss Debbie,
I hope you rested well. It was a wonderful party and some guests have stayed over, it appears. Yes, there is coffee, two lumps or one? But then, dear, you are indeed sweet enough. Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House

    2. Thank you, dear Kathleen. No sugar for me, just a bit of cream.

    3. Thank you, Marian, may I inquire as to how long the party will last today? I always seem to stay a bit too long and start to talk to myself. LOL

    4. Party should continue all day, but as you can see we have another party going on as well. Carrie is recovering from all the excitement from last night. So not sure if your guest of honor will be able to show up today. Let's pray for that.

    5. KATHLEEN and DEBBIE, My doc has me off coffee, sigh... Tummy is happier tho! I saw my chiro and he's ordered me to take a hot epsom salt bath and then shower in cold water. After I do that I am putting jammies back on and going to the Quaker couple's party! Hugs!

    6. Carrie! So good to see you! Please do not overdo anything over at the Quaker party, pace yourself. I have been coming and going, here and there. I am truly enjoying your party. So sorry you cannot have coffee, my head hurts just thinking about not being able to have at least one cup each morning.

  6. Thank you, Miss Diana! I was just over to Miss Carrie's to bid her to come ~ we are waiting for her arrival! Yes, Please, I would love some of that luscious looking confectionary! I don't mind being the first to cut a piece. It won't look disturbed at all! Earl Grey tea, you ask, "Well, yes, that sounds divine." Kathleen ~ Lane Hill House

  7. Hmmm....a bit more quiet today. I guess it's a bit early for some guests. The cake is so pretty. How can a person expect to be able to cut into something so lovely? But, it does look delicious, so I do believe I will have a slice. Good thing you ladies have pictures of these cakes, to remember the beauty.
I am so happy that you are having this party for Carrie. She has done so much for others...it is her turn!

  8. Well, I left a comment last night but blogger must have eaten it instead of the cake!

CARRIE, Congrats on the novella release! I'm so excited that one of my favorite writers is on the dream road :) You are such a blessing to all who come to know you. I appreciate your servant heart and generous spirit that can ONLY come from serving our LORD!!! Love you, friend and wish you the best!

I am loving that PINK flexcover journal and mug/coaster set :)

I bought a Pink Weeping Cherry Tree this morning and planted it this afternoon in memory of my Amy. You would love it! One day it will big and glorious in its PINK beauty :) I'll have to take a picture and post it on my FB.

    4. ANNE, it took, but you have to do all these additional scrolls to see it. We overloaded the system, yay!!! But I think I was supposed to hear from you with this msg again today. u see you are so right--that does only come from the Lord not from me!!! That pink cherry tree should bring you comfort, ANNE.

KATHLEEN, unfortunately, the plants we put in after my mom died haven't done so well. Am thinking of trying something again. Maybe another pink tree. I do like ANNE's idea of weeping cherry as dogwoods don't do well here. We have one.

I do love me some chocolate. : ) Quite a crowd last night. I got in late tho, so may not have been counted. Did so enjoy the conversation. Everything is so beautiful, and most of all our sweet Carrie! She is such a dear. Can't help but love her. I would like to have a cup coffee please with some cream and sugar. Hoping it will help get rid of this dreadful headache. Guess my neck is out of kilter again. I so enjoy these gatherings with all of you sweet ladies. I see Chaplain Debbie made it back, or did you stay over. And, hello kathleen. Greetings to Diana and Marian. Great Hostesses . You all look marvelous. Hello there also to Wendy, Anne, and Bookishqueen. Hope I didn't miss anyone. I would like to have Murray's book from #2. and if not that The hardback journal on #3 please. Of course, not because I wouldn't love Carrie's book, but don't do ebooks. Think I'd better be quite and drink my coffee before it is cold.

Julia said: "Carrie is one of the people in the CBA that bring encouragement wherever she goes," and I totally agree, which is one of the reasons there were SO many comments last night -- this woman encourages the WORLD!!! :)

I would dearly love to wear that pink dress or even my mother-of-the-bride dress -- champagne taffeta, strapless top with ruching, full skirt that crinkles when I walk, although I suppose that would be a wee bit scandalous for a Civil War tea party ... ;)

No cake for me ... still have to get into that dress ... ;)

    Hugs,

Wow, you will be gorgeous!!! Yes, a tad scandalous even for Virginia society!!! The cake is calorie-free and simply delicious, so enjoy!!! Blessings!

  29. I was out and about--exploring Milan yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to make an appearance on the 2nd day of celebrating, but I think I spot some left-over cake and calorie-free is a great thing for me (I'm assuming SF too, while still being tasty, which is even better--won't spike my sugar). Since everyone in the states seems to have headed off to bed, I will bid my farewell today as well, while I go out for some more exploring--I expect it will be a busy weekend for me. Sleep well, and have wonderful pink dreams!
