    3. It is really cool Marian! Very complex with lots of POVs and characters. I love that it is so different and it has deep spiritual threads (wide, too, lol!)

  5. NOELA!!! What a way to start my day, my friend -- BLESS YOU!!

Not only do I love you and the ladies of this blog because of your exceptional reviews and dear friendship, but our reading tastes are DEAD-ON, so I am absolutely CERTAIN to love anything you guys love, which is SO fun and saves me SO much time in narrowing down books!! :)

Thank you again, Noela, and I wish you and the FABULOUS ladies of OWG (otherwise known as ONLY WONDERFUL GALS) a FANTABULOUS weekend!!!

    Hugs,
    Julie

    1. Hey there, our very special friend JULIE - We certainly do have many of the same tastes... in fact it was actually YOUR recommendation of MARY'LU'S 'Veil of Pearls' that first got me reading her books and there she is now above too LOL! :)
Ohh and I LOVE your new meaning of OWG Julie!! How sweet are you! We love you SO much Julie and we all wish you one of those fantabulous weekends too!! :)
      God bless you Julie! x

  6. Noela, I read and re-read your choice of words for my novella and I am so glad those aspects of the story really spoke to you because those are the reasons I have such a strong voice--which can turn off some people. Definitely not a soft and gentle voice--I like a mix in the voices I read. Like Julie's is so upbeat, and perky but with an iron will. MaryLu has this ephemeral band that taunts you to think the heroine isn't a toughie but she is! Yes, I did peek and it is a good thing because with the ear infection and my asthma acting up I didn't need a surprise even though this is a WONDERFUL surprise. Bless you!!!

    1. What an interesting take on the authors and the reviews - it made go back and read what I wrote again lol, but it's interesting isn't it? Of course, if I had more room I'd have used more words haha, but I'm so glad you liked the words I did use. :)
Praying you are healed!! God bless you too my sweet friend! x

    2. Thanks, Noela! I like to use lots of words too lol! That was one reason why the novella was a good exercise for me, too and this short story I wrote for Guideposts Books. I learned I could indeed write that short, lol! Big hugs!!!

  7. NOELA, it seems as though we like alot of the same books (imagine that!) since I have read 7 on your list! And several more in my TBR pile. Don't you wish we could just read them all! I don't read as quickly as I used to unfortunately. :( GREAT picks by the way!

I quite agree with Julie's new OWG meaning! I work (and play) with ONLY WONDERFUL GALS here! :)

    1. Imagine that Diana!! Lol! But we do have impeccable taste my dear! ;) Oh you bet, I sooo wish I could have more time to read them all - there's just too many good ones out there! There are SO many more authors I could easily have had on my list but I had to stop somewhere.. as it is, it's a long scroll to the bottom lol!

I was hoping you would've seen Julie's meaning of OWG, love it, and I'll second what you said! :)

  12. These books look amazing, Noela. I'm adding them all to my list. As I've said before, the wonderful ladies of OWG are providing an invaluable service to authors and readers alike. You're getting great books in front of readers who might otherwise have missed them, and giving authors a chance to get to know their fan base. All this good stuff accomplished in an atmosphere of fun and fellowship. I'm a fan--of the blog and of each of you precious ladies. I hope you continue for a long time.

  16. I need more hours in a day to get some books read and still time to follow all of my friends. i'm too slow at both. Some good books there Noela. Most on the list I've been trying to win. You really made me want to read colleen's book. I did win The Noble Groom recently, but haven't received it. Figured it would be great. And all of the others will be great too, I know. Just wish I could read as fast as so many of you do. I don't feel like I'm reading so slow, but takes me much longer than so many others. Why I can be a reviewer for anyone. Love all of you girls. I love your blog for I get to laugh a lot. God bless you all. MAXIE

When you figure out how to get more hours in the day, let me know Maxie! Wouldn't mind a few extra myself. ;) How exciting you won The Noble Groom - you were right in figuring it would be great, one of my favourites!! I hope to have a review done for that one soon also.

We can never keep up with all the great books out there either so you're not alone in that lol, but at least you know you'll never be without ideas! Take your time and enjoy reading!! God bless you from all of us!
