Linda, thanks for your support.
DeleteLinda, thanks for sharing with us today on OWG!
DeleteWhat better way to help get the Lord's message out there. I have spoken with many friends that were struggling to accept the Lord, when they come to a crossroads or just struggling with their faith, I have been known to loan books like yours out. Sometimes talking about the problems doesn't help, but reading something that corresponds with your struggles and seeing the outcome, although written in fiction, can help that person overcome those obstacles in life and accept the Lord. That along with prayer has helped many. So, thank you Darlene, for you help as well as your books. Keep them coming! Many thanks and many prayers, God Bless!
ReplyDeleteJSSCHWAL, thank you for sharing! If you would like to be entered please come back and leave an email address! :)
DeleteHi! Fiction have put some issues into clear focus for me and helped me understand the heart.
DeleteYou blow me away with your strong faith. I have health problems; both physical and mental. I struggle quite often with even talking to God. I don't want to be this way. Thank you for listing the things you did to get through the hard times. May God continue to be with you.
ReplyDeleteMartha, I'm glad they helped. Your list might be something different. Hmm, I didn't say prayer, did I? Hah. I have learned that even at the times I neglect a traditional quiet time, he carries me through. He understands that we are but dust.
DeletePraying for you, Martha! Darlene's faith is reflected in her books and she is an amazing lady! Her strong faith in the midst of such adverse circumstances has touched all of our hearts this week!
DeleteDarlene, all your books sound fantastic! I love historical books. Please enter me in the giveaway. Would love to win. Keep up the great writing, Darlene!

Barbara, I hope you get to read one or more of them. Thanks for your interest.
DeleteThanks for coming by, Barbara! She is a great writer indeed!
DeleteIs it unusual for an author to switch to different time periods for different books? That would keep you knee deep in research I bet.
ReplyDeletemissionwife AT hotmail DOT com
Great question, MELODY!
DeleteI don't think there's a single answer to that. Some people stick to one place; others to the same time period; some are all over the place. My location of Maple Notch, a fictional town in northern Vermont, is at the heart of of 9 of my books! Vermont history is at the core of books 1-3, play a strong role in books 4-6. The location for the upcoming contemporary romances is less important, but are still realistic for the area. I'm a New Englander by birth so I'm glad the door has opened for me to write about my home ground.
DeleteLove Love Darlene Franklin wonderful ,awesome women of God .Great testimony on God's Love ,and Compassion for us .Blessings ,Dana "Girl"
