A Beautiful Story!
Five Stars *****
What a charming and lovely story! You'll be swept right into Yarrow's story and won't want to stop reading until you reach the end of this well-told novella! One of my favorite things in the story was the baby lamb. Just so sweet. Since Pegg Thomas, the author, is a real-life expert in sheep and weaving, the story rings with an authenticity that brings the story setting to life.
Set during colonial times (one of my favorite--check out www.colonialquills.org our group blog for the Colonial American Christian Writers which I helped found and which Pegg is a member of) this story brings 18th century America to life. I loved how Pegg dribbled in handsome Peter Maltby's backstory into the novella.
Does the new man at the fulling mill really work for the Crown? And will he bring Yarrow's livelihood to an end?
