One Year Anniversary for Marian Baay on the blog and Valentine's Day Party

We're celebrating Marian's one year anniversary with us on the Overcoming With God blog!!!  We're SO glad Marian joined us!!! She's such a blessing!!!

We're having a party! Isn't that a GORGEOUS cake that my friend, Christy Zumbrun made?  Although the picture was taken on my birthday, I'm afraid the cake wasn't for me!  But the cool thing is, since it is a virtual cake now, we can make the cake inside that great frosting be any flavor that we want!  

 Q: What is your favorite cake flavor?  Will there be mousse filling, too?  If so, what kind?

    MARIAN Happy First Year with Overcoming with God, it's hard to believe it's been a year already. What a wonderful time it has been, we have had so much fun, especially when you introduced us to your "squirrely" friends. :D Seriously you are a wonderful blessing to everyone you come in contact with, especially me.     MARIAN - Happy first year Anniversary on OWG!!! Does it feel like a year?! I'm sure the time's just rushed by with all the fun we have on here! As Teresa said, you are SUCH a blessing to everyone and I think you are just SO lovable!! Loved all the laughs too with your squirrels and chocolate nut obsession lol, and look forward to another year of craziness.     Congrats Marian and Happy Birthday Carrie :) I love a chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse or raspberry filling. I love other flavors too. I had a banana cake once that was to die for!

    MARIAN, my wonderful friend, fellow booklover, and constant encourager...Happy First Anniversary on OWG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My goodness, I'm so tempted to cry but will try to resist :)

    That cake looks so amazing and delectable, it's soooo perfect for today's celebration and I'm imagining how big of a piece I want to eat with a big smile on my face (yummy)!! Thank you Christy for this masterpiece! I'm picturing this cake to be chocolate fudge on the inside with caramel drizzle in between layers, delish :)

    Marian, you make SUCH a difference on this blog in so many special ways. Your heart, imagination, sense of humor, love for animals, and your faith bless us all. Thanks for being so awesome and such a great friend, love you girl!!! **not an entry**

      The plain yellow cake is delicious. I was crowned queen of the yellow cake among my family and friends. I can't have it anymore because of the gluten, but I still bake the cake when I get company.

    Congratulations Marian for your one year anniversary! The cake looks yummy.....the nice thing
    about having a slice of a "virtual" cake is you don't need to be concerned about the calories.

    My favorite cake is my mother's Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese and nut icing....I am not a
    chocolate lover, but love anything with nuts.....

    My fave cake flavor would probably be a spice cake w/raisins & a maple icing (or cream cheese icing would also be good).

    My Celebration Cake for all of us to share would be white cake (for the anniversary) with a chocolate fudge center (because I'm female)with a cherry sauce dripped on the plate around each piece of cake to represent Happy Valentine wishes.

    I used to decorate cakes and the bride's cake was my favorite. Fantastic white cake with a buttercream icing and a filling made from the cake scraps and buttercream!!! I also make a mean carrot cake [my husband's favorite!] :D
