Bibliotherapy Review of Beyond This Moment by Tamera Alexander

Beyond This Moment

Beyond This Moment
by Tamera Alexander
(Bethany House, 2009)

I listened to this on audiobook via audible.com download. Book 2 in the Timber Ridge series. Loved it!  The narrator was excellent.  Dr. Molly Whitcomb is one of the most unusual characters, and strongest, I have read yet.

Bibliotherapy: Unplanned pregnancy, dishonest relationships, mistreatment by men, prejudice, judgmental attitudes, grace, forgiveness, honor, and right relationship with God.

There are so many ways this novel can be used to bring therapeutic healing to people.  I highly recommend it for unwed 'Christian mothers - there is a strong message of hope.  The voice in this novel, the author's voice as well as the narrator's is soothing.

Five Stars *****--Highly Recommend!

  2. I'm not into audiobooks, Carrie, but I love how you review them! Prejudice, grace, forgiveness and a right relationship with God are definitely elements that would make a great story and this one sounds like another keeper by Tamera :) Thanks for your review, Carrie!

  3. Thanks DEBBIE! Do you remember the Muppets Christmas Carol--it is one of our favorites! In it Scrooge's employer gives a speech- short and to the point. And these two muppets, who rate things, go "it's short" "it's to the point" "we love it" "I give it a ten" LOL!!!
