Yes, Robin Caroll is one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed her Evil Series and
her first book in this new series is just awesome!
Injustice For All is about a woman who witnessed the murder on her godfather—a federal judge. She knows who the killers are and she knows she will be next. She flees from everything she knows and starts over in another state with a new identity.
FBI agent Rafe Baxter is a great guy who sacrifices his career and promotion for his friend and colleague. He gets transferred to another FBI office, but he's not easily accepted there.
Police commissioner Hayden has a lot to deal with in this book. His sister has bipolar disorder, he finds out a secret his mother kept from him for years and his best friend is in trouble. Then FBI agent Rafe comes to his town to work on a cold case and more secrets come out.
How does all those people get together in an awesome suspense? I can't tell more without spoilers, so I suggest you read the book soon!
I read this book in a little more than a day. I really had to know how all would fit together. Robin has a lively imagination that guarantees an awesome read.
*Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for my review copy. My opinions are my own. I was not required to write a positive review.*

Nicely done, MARIAN! I love an occasional suspense story, especially those you must read quickly to see who-dun-it. Wow, a day and a half, huh?! Does sound like a good book!
ReplyDeleteMarian told me that Robin's writting is one that I would love.So I read her review on The Evil serie, and just now this review.I must agree with Marian it sounds like books that I love, but then again Marian is always right :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of her book, I'm going on holiday next week and I would like it a lot to have it on my e-reader.

Thanks DIANA! You're up early, my friend!
ReplyDeleteMIRJAM, of course I'm always right. LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, you can choose which book you want if you win. In the Shadow of Evil is waiting on my shelf to be send to you, so if you win, you'd better choose Injustice For All.
You're going to Aruba next week?
Paul accidentally woke me up at 7 o'clock (I prefer 8):), when he was getting ready for work. You have a good friend in MIRJAM. Marian is always right? hmmmm... lol! Bookwise, you probably are. ;)
ReplyDeleteAfter Natalie Holloway went missing in Aruba, I told Paul I would never go there...which is silly-look at all the people that go missing in the US and I live here!
ReplyDeleteWow, you read this in a day! Young eyes are wonderful! I did not realize there was a psychologist in this book. Sounds like she did not do that though after the very beginning. Teresa's review is up tomorrow afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMARIAN thanks for the good review, this is another great book by Robin. I have read most of her books, and enjoyed every one of them!
ReplyDeleteDIANA, I believe MIRJAM has been to Aruba before. People go missing everywhere--also in Holland. There's no place on this earth where you are completely safe. BUT we ARE safe in the loving arms of Jesus!
ReplyDeleteCARRIE, I just couldn't stop reading this book--it was THAT good!
ReplyDeleteTERESA, I'm looking forward to reading your review tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI know--like I said, SILLY! I guess b/c she was vacationing there and from here, and it was so highly publicized. Still silly that I felt that way. And I bet I'm not the only one. lol
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds great. I love a book I can't put down.

Okay DIANA, you're silly! LOL
ReplyDeleteBut I can understand. It was hot news here, too. When you know you go to a place where something like that happened you will always think about it, I guess.
MELISSA, thanks for coming by. Good luck in the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMarian, as always, another wonderful review of a very interesting book. I love a good mystery as well as numerous other genres. Thank you for offering this giveaway!

NANCEE, it's nice to see you again! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe review along with the book trailer make this book irresistible. It would be awesome to win it.
ReplyDeleteI thought the man's voice on the trailer was quite effective although I was expecting a woman's voice. I really liked that the trailer gave just enough info to make a person very curious about what is going to happen.
Blessings, Janice jsmithg(at)hotmail(dot)com
Hey Janice! Marian is 6 hrs ahead of us, in the Netherlands. It AMAZES me how they do some of these trailers!!! Thanks for coming by!!!
ReplyDeleteWould love to read this book!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book... would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteYour review has me wondering how all the characters tie into the story :D
Have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteSUSIE, I think it is one of the best books of 2012. Thanks for coming by and good luck in the contest.
ReplyDeleteAww....I had to take a personal day off yesterday due to some family issues, and I come back and find all these wonderful comments. Thanks all of you!
ReplyDeleteAruba? My husband and I went to Jamaica almost 15 years ago and we still talk about going back. We were there for 10 days and LOVED it. Except the ketchup....it was sweet! GAG. lol
Yes, this does have a forensic pyschologist as a character.....the research was fantastic and I loved learning about it. Not that I'd ever want to do that professionally, of course, but it was fun talking to people about the profession.
I try to use interesting and different professions so I can learn while I'm doing book research! :)
ROBIN, we've missed you! We're glad you're back with us. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Robin Carrol books! I enjoy suspense a lot because they are so exciting!

ReplyDeleteJOYE, we'll put you in the drawing!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, forensic psychology is SO interesting to me. I don't think I could actually do it, but very intriguing!!
ReplyDeleteLADETTE, I think it is creepy and I wonder who in psychology would go into that?
ReplyDeletelol....the 3rd book in the series, Strand of Deception, releases in Feb 2013 and the heroine is a forensic scientist specializing in serology and DNA
ReplyDeleteSorry I was missing this weekend....my family came up to AR to celebrate my grandsons' bdays! :) Pics are on my facebook page if anyone is interested... www.facebook.com/robincaroll
