Thanks Father

Thanks Father

Like a child that’s in need of a hug
Father I come to you today.
With open arms lifted up to you
Hold me in your care always.

Your love’s more than I deserve
I just don’t understand
How the God of the universe chose me
As His own, to hold me in His hand.

You given me all the things I need
Even more than I can say.
Uncountable blessings have overtaken me
Each and every day.

On the days when things are bleak
And I cry a million tears.
I hear you whisper out my name
And take away my fears.

You hold me close like a Father would
That child he’s so proud of.
Even though the things I do
Seems to spurn your precious love.

Help me to always see the good
In what others do.
Please let me be the light that shines
To lead them all to You.

Thank you Lord for your loving care
For the provisions that you give.
The love, the laughter and the joy
The beautiful life I live.

Father please accept my thanks today
For your mercy and your grace.
Please know I love you more and more each day
And I can’t wait to see your face.

I wanted to add this scripture; "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.  Deuteronomy 28:1-2

I pray all these blessings on everyone here on OWG and all of our beautiful friends who visit with us. I pray for you all to have a blessed New Year!

  3. Beautifully expressed, well stated, great flow of wording, and exactly how I feel about my Abba Father :)

TERESA, love it and thank you for being so real. You not only inspire the rest of us to be so honest in our walk with Christ, but you also inspire each reader to surrender themselves completely as we should into God's ever capable and loving hands.

THAT's how 2013 should be started and I truly appreciate you sharing this poem, it's more of your heart given to God in front of us and it honors Him in every way :)

Happy new year, big time hugs and blessings! Happy New Year also to you lovely co-bloggers and my sisters in Christ Carrie, Noela, Diana, and Marian! We made it to 2013 ladies, praise God and here we come!!!!! *smiling with tears*

  6. Thank you for this, Teresa. It says so beautifully what I feel. I'm going through a rather insecure phase right now when my feelings sometimes are stronger than what I know, so I need reminders like this of God's love for me. He also gave me a reminder this morning. It had snowed all of yesterday so I knew I'd have to go out and shovel snow today. But when I looked out this morning, I saw someone had already cleaned my driveway, porch and sidewalks. I have no idea what human did this, but I know it was a way for God to remind me how much he loves me. If he takes care of even these relatively little things, I can trust him for the big things of life.

  7. PAM isn't it wonderful when we get the reminders of His love... if he cares for the little sparrows how much more does he care for us? (Matthew 10:29-21) That's what He wants from us, to love Him and trust Him with everything in our lives, big or small. I hope you have a wonderfully blessed 2013!
