Teresa Mathews Reviews Gina Welborn’s All Ye Faithful

All Ye Faithful
Book Three of A Cascades Christmas Novella
By Gina Welborn

5 Stars*****

Eric “E.V.” Reiner owner of Tumwater’s thriving sawmill has loved Larkin Whitworth for years. And for the last two he has relentlessly asked her father every week for her hand in marriage, only to be turned down. E.V. cannot understand why Larkin’s father, the local brewery owner, keeps telling him no, what could be the real reason for his refusals? Surely he cannot believe that E.V. only wants to marry Larkin for her money?

Larkin Whitworth is the sole heir of Patrick Whitworth, the owner of Tumwater’s brewery. Larkin cannot understand why E.V. hasn’t asked her father for permission for them to marry, but she has no idea E.V. has done everything in his power to get that permission but to no avail. When hurtful rumors about Larkin begin to circulate around town will E.V. believe them or will he stand firm in his love for her?

Gina continues with Larkin Whitworth’s story, whom we met in Home For The Holidays. I love how her sincere and godly attitude draws you to Larkin. You will be surprised and amazed at what has been happening in her life. Thanks Gina for not only an engaging story but one that I didn’t want to see come to an end.

Question: Have you ever had a rumor started about you? And if so, how did you handle it?

  1. Oh, a GINA WELBORN story!!! I need to read this one for sure because I LOVE Gina Welborn, the crazy, funny person, so I'm pretty sure I'd love All Ye Faithful!! Gina -- there's a touch of your wonderful humor in it, I hope???

A rumor started about me?? Not one that wasn't true ... ;) Did have a good friend and prayer partner betray my confidence once, which caused a lot of heartbreak and hurt, and THAT took me a long time to forgive and a LOT of prayer. :|

MERRY CHRISTMAS TERESA, GINA, AND ALL MY DEAR OTT FRIENDS!!

    HUGS,
    Julie

Julie, that kind of violation is especially hurtful. Glad God brought you thought it!

Cute comment about the rumor, I might had one or two of those myself that I have LIVED UP to! ~grin~

It's very hard when someone that's a christian hurts you, it's very hard to overcome. But PTL through prayer we are OVERCOMERS!!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!

    1. Aw shucks, Teresa! I can't wait to send you a copy of my next book, a full manuscript this time. Sadly, it won't be out until January 2014.

Why is it that we seem to take hurt from a fellow Believer harder than hurt from an unbeliever? *sigh*

      Merry Christmas!

  3. Lovely review, TERESA, as always! Sounds like an amazing Christmas story.

When we first moved from CA to a small town in SC (known for its gossip especially amongst church people sadly), I was the brunt of more than one rumor b/c I was the new girl in town. I started to go let somebody have it real good when I found out, but the Lord spoke to me very clearly and said, "Don't render evil for evil." So I held back and when the people got to know me better the gossip went on about someone else instead. However, I AM glad I no longer live there!

  6. Ohh I love these 4-in-one Collections!! Even though I only own one lol, but this one sounds great! AND it's Christmassy!! Thanks for the lovely review TERESA!!

Oh yes, I've had rumours started about me, and has caused me untold grief. Ohhh IF ONLY people would go to the person the gossip is relevant to so that they could get the truth!! I stay away from these people now but only because they refuse to stop gossiping as well as listening to it!

    1. Thanks NOELA. I can't understand how people can do things like that, I couldn't imagine saying something about a person that you know isn't true.

  9. I don't remember if I have; it did get spread around that I liked a certain boy, which was true, and he found out too, which was embarassing! I just tried to ignore it. shopgirl152nykiki(at)yahoo(dot)com

  11. I was a corrections officer and a rumor was started that I fired into the yard during an escape. Of course I didn't. Unfortunately, rather scary in fact, it did look like the officer across the yard from me might have because there was a bullet hole in the glass.

    Thanks for the review, Teresa!
