Not technically 2012 BUT
Cascade went to audio in 2012 as did

Torrent
by Lisa T. Bergren
David C. Cook/Oasis Audio

Exemplary audiobooks although more violent that I would normally listen to. But Lisa T. Bergren is so talented, she can get away with it.

  1. Yay Carrie, LOOOVE your list!!
I think I've read and enjoyed almost half the books you've mentioned, soooo cool :)

Short-straw bride also made my best list and so did wreath of snow, we have the same favorites Carrie!!!!

I did not read Material Witness, but Falling to Pieces made my list as well (don't you just love Vannetta Chapman-she's so adorable).
Veil of Pearls and Lisa Bergren's books are on my shelf, I'm so thrilled to share the same taste in books with you Carrie :)

*smiling really big and typing so excitedly that I'm correcting errors throughout this comment*

  6. Great list, Carrie! I see you put the best first...LOL...I am a bit biased when it comes to MaryLu's books. You've listed some books that are on my TBR list.
Happy New Year and God bless!

  7. Happy New Year Carrie! So exciting to see people's favourites list. I have Lisa Norato's still on my shelf on my to-read list ... must get to that. I haven't read Tamera Alexander yet, but Jess loves her and she is definitely on my "must read author" list for 2013. I loved Veil of Pearls this year too :)

    1. I hadn't read any Tamera Alexander books and then had a couple of friends who kept insisting I had to read, so I finally did when I found out she had so many on audio. Did you do your fave list? So many great books out in 2012!!!

  8. Thanks Carrie!! I'm so thrilled to find Veil of Pearls on so many "best of 2012" lists!! I had no idea when I wrote it, that it would be a favorite of so many... God is good! It was certainly a year for good books.. I've read several of the ones you listed. Perhaps next year, your newly published book will be on my "best" list. :-)

    1. Well, to me this was a really inspired story and it seemed to me it had the Holy Spirit all over it. So that is why I think it really sings to our hearts! Yes, so many good books and sadly the end to some amazing series like Julie's Boston books. And thank you SO much for reading my MS and your wonderful endorsement.

  10. CARRIE it's great that all of us on OWG have had some of the same books on our list. I see some on your list I hope to be able to read soon...there were some on yours that I wanted to include on my favs too but alas I needed to save room for yours, Diana's, Marian's and Noela's. :) My list could have been the list that never ends. I read so many great books this year and I am looking forward to all the new ones in 2013. And I'm agreeing with MaryLu that CARRIE FANCETT PAGELS' book will be on my list!! :)

  11. CARRIE, I loved reading your great list of these epic books!! I agree with you that Veil of Pearls should be made into a movie, although unless MaryLu directs it I don't know that it would live up to the book!
I've read 6 on your list and am looking forward to some reading the others. One of them being the eagerly awaited Colonial Courtships which I won some weeks ago! And I need to buy another Wreath of Snow as I gave my copy away. Sooo many great books from 2012!!
