About two years ago Green Beret Heath "Ghost" Daniels' military war dog Trinity saved his life from a bomb. He got injured and now suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury. Heath will black out for seconds when stressed out. He's frustrated that he can't go back into the military.
Trinity refuses to work with another handler and so Heath can adopt her.

Now Heath and Trinity are part of A Breed Apart. Heath is starting to feel useful again. A Breed Apart is going on a mission to support soldiers in Afghanistan. Heath and Trinity are going to perform for them.
While they are on the military base, Heath meets Darci Kintz aka Jia. Heath find himself attracted to her and they share some time together. The next day Jia leaves on a mission with a geological survey team. When an attack is reported on the location where Jia last was, Heath finds himself in a lot of stress and worry about her well being.

Heath and Trinity are coming with a Special Forces team to the location of the attack. There begins the most dangerous mission Heath and Trinity ever had. They are going to track down Jia and find out she was captured by a very dangerous man.

Will they come in time to rescue Jia? What will happen when Heath finds out Jia's real identity?

A Breed Apart is Ronie Kendig's new series. Like her other books this is again a rapid-fire read that keeps the readers on the edge of their seat! Nicely done, Ronie!

  2. Thank you, DEBBIE. It is a great book trailer! You are entered.

Marian - who can't log in on my Kindle and is having computer problems AGAIN. :(

  3. Oh, MARIAN, don't you just love computer woes? Glad they straightened up quickly.

I really think your review is great, but was disappointed not getting at least a little glance at Jia on the trailer. What an awesome dog! We had two beautiful German Shepherds named Smoky and Smut many years ago, but we had to give them away to good homes, before they ate us out of ours. lol

  4. OK, just watched it again, and did get a glance at the exotic JIA. :)

  5. DIANA, we bought the computer last year in November, so it can't be that it's already old and full of days. ;)

So sad to hear that you had to give your beauties away! We never had a German Shepherd, but I do admire them. They're so beautiful!
I love my Irish Setter girl Jessie. :)

  6. I love JESSIE, too. She is such a pretty girl! German Shepherds are so smart, and loving too. We had just bought a new home, and they were pups and growing very quickly! We could have handled one at that time, but didn't want to split them up, so gave them both away to a good home. I hope they were able to stay together.

  7. MARIAN...wonderful review, I have to add Ronie's books to my TBR stack. Sorry about your computer, somedays I think they do have a mind of their own. I loved the "old and full of days" remark!! I really did Laugh Out Loud when I read it. :)

  12. Yes, I had a beautiful lab mix that was my constant companion and very protective over me, but she got real sick and we had to put her to sleep, so no more dogs for me. That was too painful for me.

DEBBIE - Isn't that trailer awesome? I was so glad Barbour took the risk with this new company. They did a fabulous job!
